Dua Corda
Viola da gamba and Keybird piano, with Louise Bouedo. A 2026-2027 creation project selected by SACEM.
Dua Corda is like attending a dinner between the 17th and the 21st centuries: what do they say to each other? What do they eat?
“Corda” means both “hearts” and “strings”: feelings and vibrations. Two string instruments, Louise Bouedo's viola da gamba and the Keybird piano, meet to travel through time, from William Byrd to Coltrane, from Johann Sebastian Bach to the Rolling Stones, by way of minimalist and contemporary landscapes.
The duo offers three programmes, the OMNIs (unidentified musical objects): “Paint it Bach”, “Les heures coulent comme des couleurs”, built on original compositions and minimalist music, and popular songs old and new.
